[00:02:50] Sometimes I just enter into this flow state. I did so last week when I did an episode about Swedish words. And I've gotten a lot of feedback, both good and bad. And it was hard for me to do because I needed to use like two vocabularies simultaneously.

[00:03:18] Okay, so that wasn't the right way to pronounce the word. Simultaneously. Sorry, sleepy. So I was exhausted afterwards. I needed to wait for like weeks and weeks and weeks before I recorded again. So now I'm back at it.

[00:03:40] And I don't know what I'm going to talk about. Maybe I could do another list. I think I made a list maybe a year back. Because I'm very good at lists. I'm good at listing stuff. And I do this in the Swedish version of this podcast quite often.

[00:04:11] I enjoy listing everything there is in the universe. And somehow there's always this thing where I don't have time to count all the things that exist. But that's my aim for every try. So today I'm going to list everything in the whole universe. Everything that exists.

[00:04:41] And I'm going to list them all before the episode is over. And I know that I will make it this time. Because I'm very fast. And I'm very thorough. And I'm also very knowledgeable about what actually exists. I mean, for instance, ask me anything. Ask me right now. Does a blobber exist? And I can tell you right this instant. Yes, of course, it exists.

[00:05:12] I don't know what it is. But at the same moment I said the word. Then it sprung into existence. That's the way reality works. Because I know everything about reality. As you can hear. So, okay. I'm going to start listing stuff now. And you can drift in and out as you please. So, first of all, there's light. We can start with light.

[00:05:41] Because light is like... Yeah. We couldn't start anything at all without light. Light is weird. The strangest thing about light is... Well, I'm... I don't know anything really. But the weird thing to me about light is that... It's the fastest thing there is.

[00:06:09] And still, it has no idea that it's moving. If light had a conscious... If life was conscious... Then it wouldn't know it's moving the fastest in the universe. Because from light's own point of view, no time passes... Between... Leaving... The source... The origin of it... Like...

[00:06:38] A star... And arriving in your eye. So when you look at the sun... Well, you shouldn't look directly at the sun. But when you experience sunlight... And it gets in your eye... So in a sense... That light... Hits you right... In the eye... Thinks... If it had... Thoughts... It would think that it... Just now... Left the sun... Even though it... It's been eight minutes. And the same goes...

[00:07:09] With light that's been traveling for billions of years. Time just... Doesn't move... For light... From light's own perspective. That's weird. Okay, we're already in trouble. Sleepy. Because... If I'm going to do... All of existence... In this list... And the first thing... I mention...

[00:07:38] Just... Breaks my mind... I don't know how we're gonna get through this. Okay, moving on. So... Then there's the moon. And the moon is... This huge... Spherical... Object... Up above us... Being pulled... Toward us... And... Falling... Falling... Falling... Falling past us... Forever...

[00:08:08] Because that's really what an orbit is... You know... It's... Falling and... Keep on missing... Yeah, that's actually what... Earth... I mean... Orbiting Earth... Or any object in space... Really is all about... Falling... But keeping... Keep missing in... Oh God, sorry... I'm tired... Sleepy...

[00:11:04] Invented spoons... And that's cool... That's a cool thing to think about... Because... We never thank them enough, do we? Because we don't know who they were... The person who... [00:11:32] Thousands of years maybe... And no need for improvement... That's cool... And I really need to stop using the word cool... It's easy on the mouth to say... Cool... But it's sort of a... Cringy word to say... If my daughter... She's 15... If she were here... She would say... Why do you say cool... Like you're a... Kid in the 80s? Well... I answer her...

[00:12:02] In my imagination right now... That's because I am a kid... From the 80s... I was a kid in the 80s... And we spoke like that... We used the words... Cool... Neon... Fresh... And... Busy... Okay... So then there's... Dust... Most of the dust in your home... Is...

[00:13:00] There's this small amount... Of meteorite... Microscopic specks of space... That fall on every roof... On planet earth... So the... The... The dust... Under your bed... Or in your window... Is... Partly... Well...

[00:13:29] Very little partly... But partly... Outer space... And... Partly... Your own body... Settling together in a corner... And when you sweep it up... You... Sort of... Compress... Outer space with yourself... And your own surroundings... The dead... Objects in your... Immediate vicinity... And... You throw it away...

[00:14:01] Because they're... Atoms... The same as you... The same as stars... And also... On the list... There is atoms... Not... Guys named Adam... In plural... Well... There are... There are those as well... But... This is atoms... And... An atom is mostly empty...

[00:14:31] If you think of... The nucleus... Which is like the core... Of an atom... It's... Surrounded by this void... It's almost like a... It's a fly in a cathedral... So... That means... Since you and everything else... Is built out of atoms... Everything is mostly... Empty... If you removed...

[00:15:00] All the emptiness from... Emptiness... Emptinessers... If you removed all the emptiness... From every person alive... Or dead... Or whatever... We would... Like... If we concentrate on just... The human race... Race... If you removed all the emptiness... From every... Every... Human... Then the... Whole human race...

[00:15:29] Would fit inside... Say... A sugar cube... I don't know if this... This is true... This is just a... A hunch... But it's true that we feel so... Solid... And we are in a way... We... We bump into door frames... And... It hurts and...

This is a leftover from... When we were like... Fish... People... Not... Not fish people... But when we had... Gills...

[00:19:23] Like... This is an old reflex... From... Like... A water world... I don't know... It's a tiny... Ghost... Of the ocean... A small spasm of memory... In your chest... From a creature that you used to be...

[00:19:52] I've tried all the tricks in the book... Getting rid of hiccup... I... All... I don't... Very often get hiccups... But when I do... They are severe... So they really hurt... When I have them... And I've tried... All the tricks in the book... To get rid of them... Holding my breath... Drink upside down... Doing some sort of exercise... Screaming... All of the above... And... None of it really works... Well...

[00:20:21] Sometimes they work... But... For some other reason... It's like... Nature is just laughing at me... You used to be a fish... Shut up and hiccup... Like... Time... Is a thing... Is a thing that we can put a lot into... I turned 51... This summer... And...

[00:20:52] Time is this thing... Is this thing that I trust... Very little... Because they... It doesn't feel accurate anymore... And... The more I learn about time... Is... How little we really know... What it even is... Is time for instance... Something that truly exists... Or is it just... Our readers... Our own internal readers...

[00:21:21] That interpret... Entropy this way... And there is... I'm sorry for just... Keeping on... But I need to... To... Fit in all the things... That exist in the universe... [00:23:20] And then you watch yourself in... um A monitor... But the thing is... When... You turn your character... Your puppet... The monitor just... Mirrors everything... So you... You never get the hang of it... It's almost... Inbearable to try and do it... In a conventional... Setup monitor... So you need to mirror the monitor... And that's a whole thing... What actually is... Mirroring anything really...

[00:23:49] It's a weird... Process... That... That it flips you left to right... But that's not... Really the case... Because then... It would look different... The mirror just flips me... Front to back... That's actually what's going on...

[00:24:18] Everyone else sees me the other way around... Except for me... The face that I think is my face... Whenever I look in the mirror... Is reversed... And that's really... A big difference... I guess that's why... Whenever you... You look yourself in the mirror... And you decide to take a picture... Take a photo... Take a picture... You don't say that... You say... Take a photo...

[00:31:42] Have you seen these... Social media... Viral clips... With babies being scared of their own shadows? I actually think it's... Very funny... Because it's... It's... It points to the fact... That it's true... But we never think about it... How absurd it is... That we are being... Under the right... Light conditions... We are being followed... By this... Pitch dark...

[00:32:12] Copy of ourselves... Impossibly... Flattened out... Over the earth... And when you lift your leg... The shadow does that as well... And I... I don't know... But I think that I can see... In these... Video clips... That the children... Tries to lift their feet... To... Not touch... The shadow... But you can't... Because you... You need to put one foot down...

[00:32:41] And then the shadow is right there... You know... It almost seems... Sinister... In a way... I guess that's why... They... Panic... And it's funny... Because... We should all really... From... Time to time... Look at our shadows... More... And just think... Whatever... What even is this? You know... Why does it follow me around? How come nature... How come light... Made this?

[00:33:18] There's also debt... Like... Owing money... That's a thing... I used to owe... My ex-girlfriend... The one before Nina... My... Real life partner... Um... Since 17 years... Up until now... [00:35:16] The end of a relationship is like... The sun just... Evaporating overnight... Regardless if you want the separation or not... It's an awful thing to go through... Turbulent and... So much doubt... And... And... But I still owed her... Quite a lot of money... Eventually I took a bank loan... To just pay her back...

[00:35:46] Because I'd rather be... Owing the bank money... Than this... Woman... And then... I paid it all off... And since then... I've been very careful... With debt... Which we all should be... Really... And we should never borrow money from a friend... Or anyone we really know... If we are... Then... Please make sure that you...

[00:36:15] Pay it back... Like... Instantly... It ruins... I have it in my own family... It ruins everything... It ruins everything... It really does... If someone owes you money... And... It becomes clear that... They won't pay it back... You know... They tricked you... Or... They just... Ignore the fact that they owe you money... Or...

Piece by piece... Until I'm just... This pile... This... Lump... Under the moss... I wouldn't be dead or anything...

[00:37:45] I would just be there, you know... Being totally at peace... And then there's the wheel... Somebody invented the wheel... I read somewhere that... Wheel... When we think about the wheel... We think about it in terms of transportation, right? You put it on... Carriage...

[00:38:14] Carriage... A wagon... A bear... Yeah... Something that you transport stuff with... Or people... The first wheel... According to this thing that I've read... And I might be very off here... But it was for making pottery... Like... Spinning clay... And... I think that says something... About...

[00:38:45] Us... The piece of monkey... Human being... Transportation wasn't our... First priority... It was other necessities that we prioritized... Keeping... Grain... In a jar... Or making art maybe... It's only later that someone...

[00:39:12] Came up with the idea to tip it on its side and think... This could actually roll... I mean someone made that conclusion... It actually happened... It wasn't something that just... Slowly faded into... Discovery... Someone... Somewhere... Probably a lot of people... At the same... Different times throughout the world and history... But...

[00:39:42] Someone was the first... Someone... Somewhere... Tilted this wheel... That we're used for... Clay... Pottery making... And then... Just made a discovery that you can actually... Put a... An axle... A rod... And then another wheel... At the opposite side of the rod... And now you can put stuff here... You can...

[00:40:10] Put your granddad there and you can roll him out to sea... And so... There's boredom... And there's glass... And there's... Whale... Song... And keys... And deja vu...

[00:40:41] When I was a kid... I had deja vu... Very often... Often enough... That I still remember it to this day... And... Sometimes I would get scared... Because it was this outer worldly feeling... Almost like a dream... This... Well... I... I'm... I'm not sure about never... But it never happens... To me anymore...

[00:41:09] Is it something that goes away with age? That's a sad thing in that case... Because that means that my brain is... Solid now... I'm fantasizing... I don't know why... Maybe it's because... Other stuff... But it's... It's a sad thing that... My brain... Because in my imagination... Me as a kid... The brain is making all sorts of connections all the time... Firing in all directions...

[00:41:39] And maybe that's why... Deja vu comes... I don't know why we have it... Deja vu... But it's... Tempting to think of it as some... Path of the brain that's... Just not done yet... And now my brain is done... That's boring... I don't want to be done... I don't ever want to be done... And then there's wind... And photographs...

[00:42:09] And mushrooms... Sometimes... I get questioned... Do you do mushrooms before you record Henrik? They say... And I always say... Yes of course... But that's a lie... Because I don't... Imagine if I were... People are talking about psilocybin... Like magic mushrooms... They think that...

[00:42:38] Because I have an imagination that I use... As a tool in my... Professional life... And in my personal life... I must be on some... Substance... And I think that's... A degrading way of looking at imagination... Because we're all... Imaginative creatures... It's just that for some reason... Some of us have been taught to suppress that part of us... Ourselves...

[00:43:09] What child doesn't have imagination? So... It's like... It's like saying... That in order to... Be this slightly... More... Imaginative... You need drugs... You know... And... So... I'm not... Per se... Against...

[00:43:37] I haven't tried them... I don't know anything about them... I've... I have friends that... Told me stuff... About their experiences... And I respect them... And I think... I mean... Yeah... But it's illegal... And I shouldn't... I shouldn't encourage anyone to try them... Because I haven't... Myself... So... But it's... I mean... As far as I've read... You can't just use them every day...
